Danish youngster Lucas Martin has recently trained with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s according to Tipsbladet, who mention this when providing an update on the highly-rated 17-year-old’s future.
The goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving FC Nordsjælland earlier this year, and has been working with Lyngby Boldklub, to keep up his form and fitness.
Lyngby Boldklub aren’t the only side he’s been to so far as the report states the Denmark U18 international has also been training with Arsenal and the Ligue 1 winners.
Tipsbladet say this shows the teenager is being looked at by the biggest European clubs. As he’s now without a club, Arsenal, PSG or any other club can sign him for free, and will have brought him to their bases rot take a good luck and decide on any offer.
It’s claimed there isn’t anything concrete in place just yet, and the national team wants the player to have clarity over his future.
Tipsbladet also spoke to Stensgaard, who made it clear the stopper being without a club isn’t ideal for Denmark U18s. At the same time, he’s impressed with Martin’s qualities.
“He’s a real winner and he will do everything he can to win. He trains insanely well and gives it his all on the pitch, and that also means that he takes the lead in that part when we play the games. He sets a standard that we are here because we have to win and not just play the game,” Stensgaard said.
“In the last couple of years, he has improved his saves so that he’s also a decisive player and can take some balls, so he’s not just primarily good with his feet, but also good at what is actually in the job description.”
