Klopp’s wife made her feelings on Liverpool clear as she decides his next move – Footymercato.com

Jurgen Klopp made no secret of his post-Liverpool plans long before it was announced he would be standing down this year, but that hasn’t stopped speculation over his next move.
The former Borussia Dortmund chief, 56, has written his own chapter in Anfield folklore over the past nine years, winning both the Premier League and the Champions League.
He could even add bring more silverware to Merseyside before he officially rides off into the sunset this summer with his wife, Ulla Sandrock.
While Klopp has always maintained that he planned to take an extended break from the dugout in the form of a sabbatical after leaving Liverpool, Ulla has already mapped out his next move: cooking lessons and dance classes.

Jurgen Klopp’s wife has already decided his next move after Liverpool exit
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Klopp said: “There’s a few things Ulla told me – I have to learn cooking and a dance class. I said you don’t want me to have a break because if I do that I will start working after four weeks again!
“I should learn cooking probably so I can at least make some breakfast or whatever. This will be the first time in my life where I don’t have a real idea of what I will do and that’s exactly what I want.
“During COVID I did scrambled eggs but after that I forgot it again. I was raised in the Black Forest with two sisters, the only reason I knew where the kitchen was because the smell came from there! I’m pretty useless in private life.”

Ulla has played significant role both during and before Klopp’s Anfield tenure – and things could have worked out very differently had she not intervened when Manchester United came calling back in 2013.
Former Liverpool favourite Phil Thompson dropped that bombshell in 2019 when he shared details of a conversation he had with Klopp, who revealed he had knocked back an approach from United due to Ulla.
Thompson recalled: “I interviewed Klopp for Sky, and I asked if he and Liverpool were created for each other. He looked at me and asked, ‘Why?’ Then Klopp told me he could have taken over Manchester United, but his wife said it wasn’t right. When Liverpool arrived, his wife said it was right. There is something strange there – it is as if he’s created for Liverpool.”

And if that wasn’t enough to endear Ulla to the Anfield faithful, it was her desire to remain in Liverpool which convinced Klopp to sign a contract extension two years ago.
Klopp himself quipped at the time: “There’s something to announce. Like last time some will like it, some will not like it too much. If you don’t like it, stop watching now. I stay for another two years… and only me. No, all my coaches will as well, which is the most important actually. Why? Is now the question. Because Ulla wants to stay and as a good husband what are you doing when your wife wants to stay? You are staying.”
While there will be no more surprise extensions on this occasion, Klopp and his beloved wife have already made their mark on Merseyside -and it won’t just be Liverpool’s manager who will be given a rousing send-off in a few weeks time.
