Kylian Mbappé ‘annoyed’ with premature substitutions – Get French Football News – Footymercato.com

According to L’Équipe, PSG forward Kylian Mbappé (25) has revealed his annoyance at Luis Enrique’s decisions to substitute him prematurely to his closest Paris-Saint Germain teammates. However, despite his angst, the France captain is keen to not make a fuss around the situation.

Mbappé was replaced at half-time during PSG’s 0-0 draw against Monaco on Friday night – the fourth time he has either been replaced or not started a Ligue 1 game in consecutive matches. The 25-year-old was not injured either when he was replaced by Randal Kolo-Muani (25) at the break, as Luis Enrique confirmed at full time, “It was 100% the coach’s decision. Sooner or later we will have to get used to playing without Kylian Mbappe. It is my decision and one that I take with the objective of doing the best for the team.”

This has clearly not pleased Mbappé, who despite leaving the club at the end of the season, has rarely been replaced without an injury or need to be rested in his time with Les Parisiens. Nevertheless, in an attempt to avoid tensions between the former Barcelona boss and the former Monaco attacker, constructive talks have been held by the pair, according to reports from L’Équipe and RMC Sport.

What does Nasser Al-Khelaïfi think?

PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, was in attendance at the Stade Louis II on Friday night to watch the whole situation unfold. The situation has created a stir ahead of PSG’s second leg in the Champions League against Real Sociedad. Despite that, the PSG president is not getting involved in the situation and trust Luis Enrique to manage the team as he sees fit, according to L’Équipe.
