Kylian Mbappe snaps at question on future amid Real Madrid transfer rumours – Footymercato.com

Kylian Mbappe has refused to answer a question about his future at Paris Saint-Germain while on international duty with France.
Mbappe scored a hat-trick in France’s 14-0 demolition of Gibraltar on Saturday night and is now preparing to play for his country against Greece on Tuesday. But his future at PSG remains a hot topic of conversation which refuses to die down, even while away with Les Bleus.
“It’s something I don’t want to talk about, especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the selection,” Mbappe told Telefoot. “I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that.”
Mbappe is under contract with PSG until the end of the season, when the much-touted move to Real Madrid could finally come about. Real failed with offers of £137million (€160m) and £145.5m (€170m) in the summer of 2021 and Mbappe then came close to joining the Spanish giants the following year on a free transfer before signing a new deal with PSG.

Mbappe flirted with Real again this summer and was briefly frozen out of the first team in pre-season after sending a letter to his employers to inform them he wouldn’t sign a new contract. He eventually made peace with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, yet the speculation is refusing to die down as each day passes.
La Liga chief Javier Tebas expects Mbappe to join Real in the summer transfer window. Asked if he was convinced it would happen, Tebas said in September: “Convinced, convinced, no. But it is a destiny for him, for sure. Next year it will be more than 70-80 per cent.”
However, recent reports from the Spanish capital suggest that there could still be some complications with Real’s pursuit of Mbappe. President Florentino Perez has made the France star his personal quest, but tighter financial fair play rules could scupper things.

It is reported that he has ambitions of earning around £330,000 per week at the Bernabeu – a vast amount more than current star player Jude Bellingham, who banks around £150,000-a-week. Real are also reportedly keen to pursue younger players and Mbappe may not fit the bill, given he turns 25 next month.
Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco in September 2017 on an initial loan deal, which then turned into a transfer worth £166m (€180m). He has been a remarkable success in the French capital, scoring 227 goals and registering 99 assists in 275 games across all competitions. He has helped PSG win five Ligue 1 titles and three French cups, while they also finished runners-up in the 2019/20 Champions League.
Mbappe has been in typically excellent form this season, scoring 15 goals in 15 appearances. PSG are currently top of Ligue 1, one point clear of Nice.
