The defending champions fired coach Rudi Garcia after Napoli’s 0-1 loss to Empoli on Sunday. Igor Tudor is set to take over as first team coach.
Italian media outlets claim that Aurelio de Laurentiis, the manager of Napoli, has selected the Croatian, who is presently without a club. Tudor was the coach of Olympique Marseille during the previous year, however, he stepped down this year. His stint with Hellas Verona, Juventus, and Udinese, among others, has given him extensive knowledge of Serie A.
It has already been reported by Italian media that talks have already occurred. Tudor is hoping for a permanent contract until 2025, while Napoli wants to offer him a deal until the conclusion of the current campaign with an option through 2025.
Garcia’s pay will continue until the season’s conclusion. After then, there is an early termination option that was initially negotiated to extend the deal until 2025.
