Tottenham can use Hojbjerg for two Juventus swap deals in January – Footymercato.com

Tottenham could use Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in two potential swap deals in order to sign two of Ange Postecoglou’s January transfer targets. A pair of Juventus stars are reportedly being eyed and the Danish midfielder could leave in the opposite direction after falling down the pecking order this season.
Hojbjerg was linked with a move away from north London in the summer but a move failed to materialise, despite interest from Atletico Madrid. He has since been recalled to the team during an injury and suspension crisis but with Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr both preferred by Postecoglou, he could look to leave the club.
Juventus’ sporting director Cristian Giuntoli was in attendance for Spurs’ defeat to Chelsea earlier this month and the Telegraph have claimed that he was there specifically to watch Hojbjerg. His deputy was also at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the Serie A side looking for midfield reinforcements as both Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli could miss an extended period of time through suspensions.
A creative deal could see Hojbjerg end up in Turin, as Spurs are interested in two Juventus players who may help facilitate a swap deal. Italian outlet Udineseblog have claimed that the Premier League side are prepared to bring Samuel Iling-Junior back to England in January.
The former Chelsea academy starlet has rarely featured under Massimiliano Allegri so far this season and they may cash in on him if he can bring a star such as Hojbjerg to Juventus. Iling-Junior would provide Postecoglou with another option in his forward line that can develop alongside Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison and Brennan Johnson.
However, if a deal with Iling-Junior cannot be struck, Hojbjerg could also be used in a deal to sign Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso. Spurs have had plenty of success signing players from the Italian giants previously as Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur made the switch, more cover on the left side of defence could be sought.
