Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon is expected to leave the club permanently in the summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Leeds United would “love” to make his loan deal permanent.

The 26-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Elland Road, where he has made 44 appearances so far.

Sources told Football Insider in March that Spurs are ready to let the centre-back join the Whites permanently this summer if their asking price of £10-15million is met.

Rodon has already featured more for Leeds than he has for Spurs, having only made 24 appearances for the latter.

O’Rourke explained that the defender has had a “very good” season for the Championship club, with the centre-back a regular under Daniel Farke.

It is the player’s second loan spell away from North London, having previously spent time at French outfit Rennes.

He has featured 40 times in the Championship for Leeds in their search for promotion, having also made four FA Cup appearances.

After a superb run in early 2024, the Elland Road club have slipped to third place in the table, one point behind Leicester City and two behind Ipswich Town.

They are now without a win in their last three matches, most recently suffering a shock 1-0 home loss to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (13 April).
