Porsche unveiled the limited-edition 911 GT3 R rennsport, a track car based on the 911 GT3 race car. The car was presented during the Rennsport Reunion event held at Laguna Seca in California.

The GT3 R rennsport is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter flat-six engine that makes 611 hp. It uses bespoke pistons and camshafts and has a higher compression ratio. The motor can also run on E25 fuel. The engine is mated with a 6-speed sequential gearbox from the GT3 R, that sends power to the rear axle.

Here’s a video of a proper naturally aspirated flat-six revving to 9400 rpm.

Production of the 911 GT3 R rennsport has been capped at 77 units. The highly exclusive track toy can be yours for $1.04 million.
