My date said he was a ‘grown man’ when I asked questions, it only got worse

A HORRIFIED woman recounted the worst date of her life that was filled with red flags.
The date was so bad that she refused to even call it a date upon reflection.
Redditor Virus_True got the terrible date off her chest in a post.
“Had a date so bad I can’t even believe that it was real,” she admitted.
She recalled the events of the meet-up, which went on for “not even an hour.”
The two had agreed to meet up for coffee and she kicked things off by asking her date questions about himself, which were met with incredulity.
“Why are you asking me my business? I’m a grown man,” her date said.
The Redditor, in reply, suggested that the two sit in silence, after which her date said he was only joking.
Her other questions were met with cheeky responses.
“Asked if he had kids and he said no but that we should make one and the child would be blessed because they’d be beautiful,” she revealed.
When she explained that she didn’t want children until marriage, he “went on a tangent” about how she must be “heartbroken.”
Despite the brief encounter, the Redditor compiled a hefty list of behaviors that made it clear he was not The One.
“Showed me photos of him on Snapchat (he’s 30) and referred to himself as ‘handsome king’ several times,” she said.
“Said it looked like I work out and that I could probably beat him up. I agreed,” she continued.
“Played a video of his ex on snap and when I found it was his ex, he repeatedly called her stupid, jarring, and annoying.”
The two decided to go on a walk, where her date decided to show off photos of his home renovations.
Yes, he was trash and the red flags were loud, but I’m about opportunity and he thought he was selling it.

“I started to walk off and he called me back to show me a photo of his penis,” she said.
Despite her visible anger, her date continued to egg her on about the photo.
“I asked him why he did that and he asked me if I was embarrassed,” she said.
“I then clarified I was p*ssed off and he kept saying I was embarrassed.”
Her date even asked her to head back to his place, not just once, but three times.
“I said no every time with increasing annoyance,” she said.
She explained that although the date was extremely unpleasant, she felt the need to tax her date for her time.
“Those asking why I stayed so long, it’s because I needed to leave with SOMETHING as compensation for this behavior,” she explained.
“I got a coffee, a spliff, a connect, and I added to my step count. So yes he was trash and the red flags were loud, but I’m about opportunity and he thought he was selling it.”
Some agreed that the date couldn’t have been real after hearing how it went.
“Wow…it’s almost like he was doing a social experiment to see how long you would tolerate him making every wrong move he could possibly make on a date,” wrote one commenter.
“I’m glad you were able to walk away from that safely.”
One commenter chose to look at the miserable date with a positive perspective.
“I don’t even know what to say. It just kept getting worse. The bright side is, future first dates will probably never be as bad as this one,” they said.
