Former WWE superstar Matt Riddle appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during a flight delay earlier this month.

The former United States Champion, who was released from the company amid roster cuts this month, was seen grabbing a microphone and shouting at other passengers in footage from the incident at JKF Airport on September 9.

That same day, Riddle accused a Port Authority officer of sexual assault on social media, which sparked an investigation.

A video shared by TMZ shows what happened before the allegations, with a witness telling the outlet that the flight to Orlando had been postponed ‘multiple times’.

Riddle and his friend allegedly enjoyed drinks at a restaurant nearby, with the onlooker describing him as ‘incredibly obnoxious’ as the day when on.

The witness claimed Riddle was ‘extremely loud and rude’, and started shouting and asking when the plane would be taking off as it was nearly time to board.

In the video, the 37-year-old wrestler – who can be seen holding a drink – is at the gate’s front desk shouting into the microphone in a playful manner, asking fellow passengers if they’re able to fly a plane.

It’s said Riddle wasn’t allowed onto the flight, and he allegedly asked staff: ‘So are you telling me I’m not going home today?’

It was previously reported that officers had responded to calls about a ‘disorderly person’ at the gate, while he later apologised for his behaviour and was free to go without a police report being filed.

He later took to Instagram and made accusations against an officer in a post which was later deleted, claiming he was ‘harassed’ and ‘sexually assaulted’.

He added: ‘Normally I’m like whatever but today was really weird and uncomfortable and they made a point to make me feel small or useless.’

The investigation into his allegations is still ongoing.

Two years ago, Riddle’s accuser Candy Cartwright (real name Samantha Tavel) filed to dismiss her lawsuit against him after accusing him of sexual assault, which he had denied.

Her attorney John Chwarzynski said at the time: ‘The parties have put this in their past and are focused on the future.’

Riddle is yet to publicly comment on the footage of the airport incident.
