WWE Raw Report 9/25 - The Judgment Day defend against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn | #wwe #Aew | The USA Print

Cody Rhodes is in charge of opening this WWE RAW show with a promo in the ring.

After a review of what happened last week in the main event on RAW, ‘The American Nightmare’ begins to talk about Jey Uso, saying that his arrival on RAW means that someone must be transferred to SmackDown. Rhodes comments that he and Jey are not best friends and assures that he made the best decision: to recuse The Judgment Day. Cody called this faction the most toxic of all time. Dominik, Finn Bálor and Damian Priest interrupt and approach the ring. Priest says that last week he had to go out and help Jey Uso because everything always has to revolve around him. Dominik, being booed, tries to speak, but the audience won’t let him. Cody remembers that not even Dominik’s real family supports him and also mentions that the three of them are defending their titles tonight and wonders what would happen if Rhea Ripley comes back and sees that none of them have her championship. Priest, Bálor and Dominik prepare to attack Cody, but Jey Uso appears to stand next to him. Still, The Judgment Day members are in the majority and continue with the plan to go to the ring, but Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn join Rhodes and Jey, causing The Judgment Day to back down. However, JD McDonagh comes out with two chairs and everyone goes to the ring to attack Cody, Jey, Sami and Kevin, but Damian Priest doesn’t seem very happy with the decision and ends up going later than the rest. Finally, The Judgment Day takes a beating and has to leave the ring.

Seth Rollins makes his entrance to the ring to give a promo. The World Heavyweight Champion comments that for weeks he has been asking Shinsuke Nakamura for one more match and has been “playing”, but the time for playing is over. Rollins warns that if Nakamura does not accept, he will give the fight to another superstar on the roster, so this is Shinsuke’s last chance. Nakamura speaks from a pre-recorded video and comments that Rollins has a lot of stamina, but little patience. Finally, he announces that his match at Fastlane will be a ‘Last Man Standing Match’ with the world title at stake. Rollins, in the ring, appears very worried, but at the same time determined and ends by saying that Nakamura has made a critical mistake because he assures that his injured back is not a weakness, but something that gives him strength. Rollins mentions that he knows his family knows that he loves them, but they also know that he loves this business. The champion asks Nakamura if he really thinks this is going to be his last fight, but this is not going to be the case. Seth finishes by saying that he is going to be the one to leave Fastlane with the title in his hands.

Dominik retained the NXT North American Championship against Dragon Lee.

Nia Jax comes out to the ring to be interviewed by Michael Cole in the ring. Cole asks why he has attacked all the fighters on the roster. Jax claims that she is the baddest in the entire company and remembers that she finished off Rhea Ripley two weeks ago, just like she did with Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez, Piper Niven, Shayna Baszler and Chelsea Green. Zoey Stark interrupts Jax to come face to face with Jax and she admits that she beat him up, but she only did it from behind and not face to face. Stark provokes Jax into doing it now and Nia responds by attacking her. Several referees stop the fight and a fight between the two begins.

The Miz makes his entrance to present a new edition of Miz TV with Drew McIntyre as a special guest. Miz tells him that he supports Drew for leaving Jey Uso alone last week and asks him why he did it. Drew first responds that he doesn’t look anything like The Miz, but he says that what he did to Jey Uso is something very “Miz.” The Miz continues talking and reminds McIntyre of everything he was in the past, especially at Clash at the Castle when he lost to Roman Reigns. Miz now asks him about how he feels about being out of the spotlight last week because of Cody Rhodes. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods interrupt and tell Drew McIntyre that this is not the Drew they knew because he was a coward last week. McIntyre gets fed up and says that he sees a hypocrite in Cody Rhodes and reminds Kofi and Woods of the beatings they received in the past from The Usos. Kofi responds that of course they remember him, but last week was not the time to leave him alone, since Jey is here to fix his mistakes. Drew has to silence The Miz on several occasions and finally finishes him off with a headbutt.
